Before installation, the windows – supplied by Jörg Bolliger AG in Gontenschwil – are measured precisely. Accurate preparation ensures a perfect fit. A tidy construction site also helps prevent accidents.

Protection and Sealing

A white shrink protection cord safeguards the window during installation. Additionally, a compressed sealing tape (Kompriband) expands after fitting and seals the gap between frame and wall reliably.

Alignment and Adjustment

Not every opening is perfectly straight. Spacer blocks are used to compensate for minor unevenness and ensure precise alignment. Pre-drilling prevents material damage and ensures secure fastening.

Connection and Stability

A tongue-and-groove connection keeps the window stable during installation. Adhesive is applied to create a strong and durable bond.

Floating Installation

Special brackets allow for floating installation. The window remains stable while still being able to move slightly due to temperature changes, preventing potential glass damage.

Precision in Timber Construction

As wood is a natural material reacting to temperature and humidity, a controlled tolerance of a few millimetres is maintained. This ensures durability, flexibility and long-term performance.

Final Steps

After installation, the sealing is completed and the window sashes are mounted. The building envelope is now closed and the new office floors are visibly taking shape.
