The seals of the poesia group are used in various areas of healthcare. They meet the high requirements of hospitals, clinics, and laboratories in terms of hygiene, safety, and reliability.

Inflatable Seals
Inflatable seals are a special form of sealing technology. They can be filled with air or gas, allowing them to fit precisely against adjacent surfaces and reliably seal even larger gaps.
Typical applications include industrial and technical areas where a variable, fast, and absolutely tight solution is required. Examples are autoclaves, airlocks, test chambers, containers, or machine covers. In these environments, inflatable seals ensure secure, reproducible sealing – often under high demands of hygiene, pressure, or temperature resistance.

Inflatable seals are the ideal solution for special applications in industrial, pharmaceutical, or food technology – anywhere conventional seals reach their limits.

Material
The seals are made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomers) and silicone. Thanks to these materials, the seals convince with their flexibility, durability, and resistance even under regular contact with cleaning and disinfecting agents. This makes them ideally suited for daily use in sensitive areas.

Another decisive quality of these two materials for healthcare applications is that all seals comply with the strict standards of the KTW drinking water regulation and the FDA guidelines. These regulations, issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), ensure the safety, effectiveness, and harmlessness of products that come into contact with people. They cover a wide range of applications, from pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics to medical components. For example, permanently installed sealing systems made of TPE or silicone are used for operating room doors. These ensure a constant, hygienic, and low-maintenance seal.

Sample Service
When sourcing replacement seals, it is often unclear which type fits exactly. In such cases, poesia specialists support customers in identifying the correct seals. The sample service is particularly popular: customers can send defective or worn seals to the poesia group specialists, who will then check whether suitable replacements are available. If not, the customer receives alternative seals free of charge to try out.

New Productions
If a completely new seal is required, the consultation includes an all-round service: from the initial idea sketch to the production of the ready-to-install sealing profile. New seals in TPE and silicone can already be manufactured from 300 meters onwards. The poesia group employs around 60 people, including five apprentices. It operates at its main site in Unterkulm and in Urdorf. It manufactures and processes seals made of TPE, silicone, and LSR as well as EPDM, NBR, CR, FKM, and sponge rubber for applications in the construction, industry, technology, transport, food, and healthcare sectors.
