Promoting young talent is a high priority

The future lies in the youth. That is why the poesia group attaches great importance to the training of apprentices. Currently, four young women are completing their apprenticeships at the innovative industrial company.

Mariam Habach is learning the trade of plastics apprentice EBA. After seeing the advertisement on an online job portal, she immediately applied for the trial apprenticeship. She quickly gained an insight into the work and the company.

After the poesia group accepted her for the apprenticeship, Mariam also accepted immediately. One of the reasons was that she liked the trial apprenticeship very much. Her training has a technical touch, which would also be the case with her dream job as an architect. Since the apprenticeship began in summer 2022, she has already become acquainted with many jobs and gained a good insight into plastics processing. Not only at poesia itself, but also in the training centre. Mariam likes to be at the machine to contribute something positive to the success of the company. She also likes to learn something new every day.

Amélie Cankurt is currently completing her first year of an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk EFZ, profile M. Her mother made her aware of the vacancy via WhatsApp. After finding out about the poesia group on the website, she applied for the trial apprenticeship, to which she was invited a short time later. Already during the trial days, Amélie was allowed to do various jobs independently and was personally supervised. Afterwards, she tried out other companies. One of them was a pharmaceutical assistant. But none of the other companies appealed to her, so she didn't have to think twice when she received an acceptance letter from the poesia group: "Because of the trial apprenticeship, poesia was my first choice right from the start. In the meantime, her positive impressions have been confirmed. Since the beginning of the apprenticeship in July, Amélie has learned, for example, how to behave in a professional environment, how to manage her time and how to write business correspondence. She appreciates the varied work, some of which she can already do independently. She also likes being part of a team. The trust of her superiors also has a very positive effect on Amélie.

A job advertisement in a newspaper aroused Martina Hilfiker's interest in a trial apprenticeship at the po-esia group. Shortly after applying, she received an invitation. During the trial period, the programme included an impressive tour of the company - including its subsidiaries. She also got an insight into the sales and accounting departments. For Martina, it was clear from the beginning that she wanted to complete a commercial apprenticeship. That's why she didn't take a closer look at other professions. She did apply to other companies and received several acceptances for the apprenticeship. But after receiving positive feedback from the poesia group, she did not hesitate for a second to sign the apprenticeship contract: "A commercial apprenticeship at a bank or an insurance company would be too monotonous for me. Martina appreciates the variety and diversity at poesia: "My work offers many facets and I have the opportunity to go through different departments." She has never regretted her decision. She has also been very well received by the team, and Martina is now in her second year of apprenticeship as an EFZ businesswoman, profile E. She particularly emphasises the modern working environment and the positive working atmosphere.

Miriam Brunner started her third year of apprenticeship as an EFZ businesswoman, profile M, in the summer. She applied for a trial apprenticeship with the poesia group at an early stage. This was after her parents had discovered the advertisement in the newspaper. She really liked the two varied trial days: "Even then I was allowed to do some work independently, which gave me a good feeling. The team also appealed to her, as did the material plastic. As an alternative to CT, an apprenticeship as a pharmaceutical assistant would have been another possibility. After only two applications, she was accepted by the poesia group. Miriam is happy that her expectations have been fulfilled: "I have already been able to learn many different jobs and something new is added regularly. So the apprenticeship remains exciting. She likes working on the PC and appreciates the variety in her apprenticeship.

The poesia group employs over 70 people including four apprentices. It operates at its main site in Unterkulm and at external sites in Hochdorf and Urdorf. It produces plastic seals for applications in the construction, engineering, transport and food industries.
